On Wednesday morning, I felt an interesting vibration in my belly while I was talking to a co-worker. I interrupted her and said, 'I think I just felt the baby moving! It feels like butterflies are fluttering in my belly!" We both started giggling and tearing up. It was such a weird sensation, and I'm pretty sure it was not gas...which I feel on a daily basis!
The past 2 days, I have been feeling weird and uncomfortable. I've been feeling a little sickly at times, and nothing tastes good. I keep thinking that I might be on the verge of getting a stomach bug, but I think it's just my digestive system shifting around and being sluggish. Today, I woke up feeling dehydrated, so I started pounding the water this morning to get things flushed out of my system.
I bought a Snoogle Body Pillow today, and I can't wait to try it out tonight. I've been struggling with getting comfortable and staying asleep at night. I seem to wake up after every sleep cycle. Sometimes, I immediately go back to sleep, while other times, I'm up for 1-2 hours. I guess I'm getting some training in on what my life will be in 5 months!
Nik and I are starting to pack up our extra bedroom... So far, we have packed up our books and photo albums from the bookcase. I plan to move the bookcase into the baby's room for toys, books, and other baby gear. This weekend, we need to tackle the closet and basically move everything to our temperature controlled storage room at Uncle Bob's. (Did I mention that this keeps me up at night... visualizing and organizing where stuff is going to go!?!)
So, I'm off on Monday for President's day. I scheduled a Pedicure, because I can no longer bend over comfortable due to the baby belly to trim and paint my toenails...and sandal season is just around the corner! Then, I plan to drop off some shoes and dresses at a consignment shop....followed by calling plumbers and/or contractors to set up appointment for estimates on our utility room. We need to get our plumbing fixed, so I have a washing machine for cleaning cloth diapers in 5 months. We also plan to get a new hot water heater and lay flooring. I bunch of non-exciting stuff!
Today, I'm 19 weeks and 1 day. Next Wednesday, is my 20 week Ultrasound!
